Q: Can this be painted on any type of ceiling?

A: We can paint on almost any type of ceiling with the exclusion of some type of popcorn ceilings

Q: Will I have to paint my ceiling black?

A: No. The virtually invisible illusion is used on your existing ceiling. In fact, the lighter the existing ceiling paint the better the effect.

Q: When does it start glowing?

A: As soon as the lights are turned off, the curtains are closed and provided the room has had an opportunity to "charge up".

Q: How dark does a room have to be?

A: the darker the room the better. If necessary, a black light can be used to get a very bright shine. These are used mainly in bars and clubs or for kid's sleepover parties.

Q: Can you see the effect during the day time?

A: In some ceilings you may see a small part of the effect depending on the reaction with some old ceiling paint.

Q: How long does the paint take to dry and is there any odour?

A: The paint is touch dry within an hour an totally dry with in two hours. There is no odour.

Q: Is the paint used in creating a Nightsky Ceiling safe.

A: The paint used is a water based, non-toxic paint. For more information on the technical specifications of the paint, please see the attached Material Data Sheet.

Q: How long does the paint glow for.

A: The paint will glow for up to 10 hours after the lights are out. This may vary slightly, depending on the amount of light it got to charge during the day. Your Nightsky Ceiling will continue to glow for 10 years

Q: Will I have to remove furniture and other items from the room prior to my Nightsky Ceiling being created.

A: Professional drop sheets are used to cover any furniture and floor coverings in the room. It is however, recommended that you remove any valuables and/or breakables just to be on the safe side.

Q: I work during the day, are you able to create my Nightsky Ceiling in the evening or over a week-end?

A: Your Nightsky Ceiling can usually be installed day or night, seven days a week. You just tell us what day and time will be the most convenient for you and we will in most cases be able to schedule a time that will best suit you.

Q: How can I be sure the end result will be of an excellent standard? How will I be able to see the result after a daytime installation.

A: Prior to creating your Nightsky Ceiling Artist, the room will be prepared to simulate pitch dark night time conditions using 100% light repellent curtains. In this way you will be able to clearly see the end result.
